Weekly Watercolour Painting Classes

Service Description

Weekly art classes providing a structured course that covers flower painting and landscape painting in pre prepared projects. I provide weekly demonstrations where I explain my process step-by-step. During a demonstration, I will show you various techniques and methods for creating different effects with watercolors. I will also provide tips and tricks for using different brushes, paints, and paper. I provide a professional printed illustrated step by step book of all the projects and reference photos for the term. The book also includes guides for; choosing a colour palette, stretching paper and using white. As well as demonstrations and there is individual guidance where you can ask questions and get feedback on your own work. Additionally, you can learn from other students in the class and see how they approach the same painting subject. You are welcome to bring any project of your own each week if you prefer. The classes are for adults over The age of 18. Term dates are: Friday 17th May, 24th May and 31st May 7th, 14th, 21st June (no class on 28th June) and the last class of the term is 5th July. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 9.45 to settle in and I start teaching 10am. Free tea, coffee and biscuits ( including gluten free) are provided. Free parking in the church car park and if this is full there is free on street parking on Cavendish and Hills Avenue. I have a waiting list so if you book a place and subsequently find that you can't attend please let me know as soon as possible so I can offer your place to another student. The weekly classes for the Summer term are currently full with returning students. Please email me if you would like to be on the waiting list. Materials List • A large wash brush and a couple of smaller brushes for detail • 2B pencils and an eraser • 2 large jam jars • A large hard board and masking tape to tape your paper to the board • Arches Cold Pressed or Rough Paper min A4 preferably 11 x 15 inches weight 300gsm/140lb • Masking Fluid and masking fluid brush A large white ceramic palette Suggested colours (If you don't have theses colours just bring your current colours) Cadmium Yellow Pale Vermilion or Cadmium Orange Winsor Red or Permanent Red Permanent Rose and Magenta Burnt Umber or Burnt Sienna or Sepia Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt, Winsor green or Viridian Titanium White or a pot of Dr Ph Martin’s Bleed Proof White

Cancellation Policy

Once you have booked a place it is allocated for the term or one day workshop. You are able to cancel up to one week before the course/workshop starts and I will refund your fee. After that point if you have to cancel I will try to fill your place but if I cannot do so there is no refund.
