Service Description

A two day acrylic painting workshop. No previous experience necessary, complete beginners and those wanting to refresh their techniques are welcome. All materials provided. You will have 2 paintings to take home. We start the first day with a brief introduction to materials, colour mixing and the colour wheel. We'll look at tone and paint flowers on a bright background. On the second day we'll paint a seascape using different techniques. In my demonstrations I explain my process step-by-step and show you various techniques using brushes, palette knives and rollers to create different effects. My workshops include demonstrations but are hands-on, allowing participants to practice their skills with guidance and personalized feedback. This allows you to ask questions and get feedback on your own work. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to practice the techniques and use them in a finished painting. All art materials are provided include: paint, paper, palette, brushes, two canvass boards and a professionally printed course book covering the aspects of materials, tone, colour palette and the painting projects. Demonstrations will start at 10am and we finish at 4pm. I encourage attendees to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the workshop ie 9.45am. This will allow you time to familiarise yourself with the amenities. Meet me and your fellow participants and enjoy a coffee or tea or other light refreshments. All courses are for adults age 18 plus. You will need to bring an old shirt or apron and your lunch. Local shops a short 5min walk from the venue (Costa, Co-op etc). Free tea, coffee and biscuits (including gluten free) will be available all day. The workshop will be held in the large light and airy Wilkinson room at St John's Church, Hills Road, Cambridge. FREE PARKING at the rear of the Church which is accessible from Blinco Grove. The Church is a 15min walk from the railway station. If you have any questions please email me at info@deniseschoenberg.com This is my first acrylic workshop but here are some reviews from previous Beginners Watercolour Workshops: "Thank you so much Denise!
