Service Description

Come along for a creative and relaxing day painting a landscape using textural techniques. Create beautiful textures with aqua paste, granulation medium and liquid charcoal. I will paint a scene and give group and individual demonstrations of the painting techniques. During the demonstrations, I explain my process step-by-step and I will show you various techniques and methods for creating different effects with watercolours. I will also provide tips and tricks for using different brushes, paints, and paper. One of the great things about attending a demonstration is that you can see the techniques being used in real-time and ask questions during the demonstration. You will be able to paint the project with I will give individual guidance and encouragement. You will produce a finished painting to take home along with notes explaining the techniques used during the workshop. The workshop will start at 10am and we finish at 4pm. I encourage attendees to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the workshop ie 9.45am. This will allow you time to familiarise yourself with the amenities. Meet me and your fellow participants and enjoy a coffee or tea or other light refreshments. All courses are for adults age 18 plus. You will need to bring paint, watercolour paper (if possible Arches 140lb/300gsm cotton Cold pressed or Rough, please don't bring Hot Pressed Smooth paper its not suitable), brushes, a ceramic palette or an old white plate for mixing colours, a pencil, 2 large jam jars, paper towel, masking tape and if possible an A3 sized board to tape your paper to. Don't worry if you don't have a board I will have some spare. Practice paper will be available for free and I will have professional Artists Arches watercolour paper available to buy for £2.50 per sheet (11x15inch 140lb cotton paper). Please bring your own lunch. Costa, Co-op and Tesco are a 5min walk. Free tea, coffee and biscuits (including gluten free) will be available all day. The workshop will be held in the large light and airy Wilkinson room at St John's Church, Hills Road, Cambridge. There is free parking at the rear of the Church. Cancellation Policy

Once you have booked a place it is allocated for the term or one day workshop. You are able to cancel up to one week before the course/workshop starts and I will refund your fee. After that point if you have to cancel I will try to fill your place but if I cannot do so there is no refund.
