Weekly Watercolour Painting Classes for adults

Service Description
A seven week course of watercolour classes for adult beginners and improvers. Each week I provide a project, a live painting demonstration and a step-by-step illustrated guide to the painting project. During a demonstration, I will show you various techniques and methods for creating different effects with watercolours and tips for using different brushes, paints, and paper. The demonstrations are also shown on a large television so you can see the detail during the demonstration. I also provide individual guidance where you can ask questions and get feedback on your own work. Each term I provide an illustrated step by step book of the projects with reference photos. The will book include new projects for the summer term which I am currently planning. You are welcome to bring any project of your own each week if you prefer. The classes are for adults over the age of 18. Term dates are: Friday 17th, 24th April. 1st, 8th, 22nd, 29th May. 12th June Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 12.30 to settle in and I start teaching 12.45am and we finish at 3pm. Free tea, coffee and biscuits (including gluten free) are provided. Free parking in the church car park and there is free on street parking on Cavendish and Hills Avenue. You will need to bring : • A large wash brush and a couple of smaller brushes for detail • 2B pencil and an eraser • 2 water pots or large jam jars • A large hard board and masking tape to tape your paper to the board • Arches Cold Pressed or Rough Paper min A4 preferably 11 x 15 inches weight 300gsm/140lb or similar good quality cotton watercolour paper A large white ceramic palette Suggested colours (If you don't have these just bring your current colours) Cadmium Yellow Pale or Transparent Yellow Vermilion or Cadmium Orange Winsor Red or Permanent Red Permanent Rose Burnt Umber or Burnt Sienna or Sepia Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt, Winsor green or Viridian Titanium White or a pot of Dr Ph Martin’s Bleed Proof White. An old shirt or apron. If you have booked a place and find that you can't attend please let me know as soon as possible so I can offer your place to another student. There is a £5 non returnable booking fee which covers the charges incurred should you cancel your place.

Cancellation Policy
Once you have booked a place it is allocated for the term or one day workshop. You are able to cancel up to one week before the course/workshop starts and I will refund your fee. After that point if you have to cancel I will try to fill your place but if I cannot do so there is no refund.
