Classes provisionally resume September 2020

Watercolour classes at St John's Church, Hills Road, Cambridge CB2 8RN. Provisionally resuming September 17th and 18th.

Thursdays 1.30 till 3.30. Fridays 10-12noon and 1-3pm

Beginners and improvers welcome. Demonstrations and projects to improve your skills and painting techniques. Composition, shape, tone, colour mixing and painting different subjects: landscapes, flower painting and still life. A warm welcome and the chance to chat to other painters - free tea and coffee.

Free parking in the church car park accessible from Blinco Grove.

Thursdays 1.30 - 3.30pm. Fridays 10am - 12noon and 1 - 3pm.

£125 for 10 week term.

When classes resume you will be able to come along for a relaxing day learning new techniques painting poppies in watercolour. There will be demonstrations in a loose and washy style and in a more detailed style. We will cover the techniques of pure watercolour including demonstrations of graded washes, layering techniques, colour mixing, transparency and opacity. Handouts will be provided. You are welcome to arrive from 9.30am for tea and coffee, demonstrations will start at 10am and we finish at 3.30pm. Tea, coffee and cake provided.
