Service Description
I am delighted to welcome Jake Winkle to Cambridge for an exciting watercolour painting workshop. Jake is a British watercolour artist based in Dorset and regularly teaches painting masterclasses all over the country. As well as exhibitions in London and the south of England he has undertaken many fine art commissions for individuals and notable organisations including The National Trust. In 2007 his work was selected for the Royal Society of British Artist's exhibition in The Mall Galleries, London, and from that time he has been contributing regular articles about his painting style for The Artist magazine. Jake has been the subject of three instructional DVD's by Townhouse Films:- Watercolourfrom Dark to Light, Light and Movement in Watercolour and most recently Going Wild in Watercolour. Jake's book Light and Movement in Watercolour was first released in 2012. His bold, colourful watercolours have a dynamic energy and passion that convey a wonderful sense of speed in his horse racing paintings and playful characters in his animal paintings. He will guide you through two paintings in one day with demonstrations showing you his techniques. Tracing options will available on the day. It will be a busy day!
